Echo Cai

Echo Cai is a curator and multidisciplinary artist based in Melbourne. She is the founder of Art Echo Gallery & Art Echo Foundation Incorporated.

A graduate of Peking University in ‘88, Echo migrated to Australia in 1989. Her work encompasses a wide range of creative mediums including painting, writing, video and curation.

As a visual artist and writer, her practice enquires about the intersection between art and language. Her work is devoted to connecting Chinese and Australian art and cultures together, exploring different ways to push the boundaries of art forms.

Echo Cai has organized a variety of art exhibitions and events around Melbourne since 2014, including ‘Multi-Arts Fashion Show 2016’ at Meat Market, Melbourne; ‘This Street’ for Mapping Melbourne 2017; ‘Art Once in a While’ at Abbotsford Convent Centre 2018; ‘Journeys We Are On’ in the Ballarat Heritage Festival 2024, and more.
